Liz rests her forehead against his, her eyes half-lidded and a tiny smile threatening the corners of her mouth; she brushes her brow along his until she touches her cheek to his, and then she tips her chin up so that she can hide a faint kiss just at the hinge of his jaw.

"What's so funny?" she murmurs in his ear, in reference to his grin; it's a challenge, a tease, and a genuine question all in one.

(He may be able to feel her own smile, against his cheek.)
